- Harvard Community Health Plan: The only Postpartum Doula Service subcontracted by a leading HMO in Massachusetts and the first in the United States. Our Special Delivery program consistently proved its excellence throughout the ten year duration of this program.
- National Association of Postpartum Care Services, Founding Member and Advisory Board member: Served to develop accreditation guidelines for Doula service agencies. NAPCS’ goal was to establish national professional liaisons with administrative and medical personnel in public and private health organizations and institutions.
- Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Massachusetts, Founding Member and Environmental Education Director: A statewide organization committed to promoting the health and well-being of women, children and families throughout the Commonwealth through advocating for equal access to quality health care, the elimination of health disparities, and an appreciation of diversity. - Partners in Perinatal Health, Planning Board Member: A statewide partnership composed of numerous non-profit organizations committed to improving the quality of healthcare available to childbearing families through their annual Partners in Perinatal Health Conference (co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health). www.piphma.org
- Alliance for a Healthy Tomorrow, Governing Board Member: A coalition of scientists, health professionals, educators and disability organizations, seeking preventive action on toxic hazards through changes in legislation and product protections. www.healthytomorrow.org
- Brigham & Women’s and Massachusetts General Hospital contract for postpartum services in their PACE research study regarding the value and impact of birth doulas.
- Consultant and mentor to new and experienced postpartum and health care providers, nationally.
- Media Resource for interviews and articles for national and local syndicated radio and television networks, magazines and news services, i.e. CBS Morning News, PBS, MS Magazine, Boston Magazine, Boston Globe, Philadelphia Inquirer, and New York Times.
